WordPress Health Check
Our WordPress health checks are like a website MOT: tuning up any problems that cause performance issues, looking at potential malware hacks, and generally updating everything so your site starts running smoothly again.
Is your site having issues?
Many companies will build a site for their clients and leave them to look after it themselves. Unfortunately all sites need fine tuning on a regular basis to ensure the site is running as well as it should.
If updates are not carried out regularly, or if the site has not been hardened with extra security, there is the added risk of the site being vulnerable to be hacked.
If your website is running slowly, or is not functioning properly, we would recommend getting a thorough diagnosis to identify the issues and fix them.
Even if your site seems to be running fine, but hasn't been frequently maintained, we would recommend getting a health check once a year to make sure things are fine under the bonnet.
We essentially have 2 plans:
- The Standard plan covers all WordPress websites that do not have WooCommerce installed.
- The WooCommerce plan covers WordPress sites with WooCommerce, which requires a little more care.
If a site has been developed properly, and is regularly maintained, and has adequate security, then the site should generally work well.
However, many sites are ticking time bombs, with unstable foundations that’ll collapse with the next big puff of wind. Like a virus, sometimes even a website hack is not apparent until much later, when it becomes too late to resolve, especially if there are limited backups.
We recommend not to wait until something’s gone wrong to fix it, or as it can become more costly, time and money wise, in the long term.
Plus you risk your site being down for days, weeks or months while the problem is resolved. The damage could be irreparable, especially if your site is your main means of doing business.
Definitely! It’s even more important to have a website health check if your site was created by another provider, so we can guarantee everything is up to scratch before any further development.
Once the payment has been made, we will request access to your site control panel, FTP and WordPress admin area.
No problem, you can ask us to speak to them. If for any reason we cannot access the details, and we cannot carry out the work, we will offer you a full refund.
Yes, if the work we do breaks your site, we'll get it fixed.
All our work will be done on a seperate server so we will not affect your live website at all, until we are comfortable we can carry out the updates.
If the site was built by another provider, we cannot take responsibility for any issues that arise that is not due to our work.
However our website health check will let you know if there are any issues that need addressing.
Of course, if you’d like us to. The report will give you a full breakdown of your site’s health, along with recommended improvements and fixes.
Although you’re completely free to take that report to another provider, we’ll also give you a quote to fulfil those recommendations ourselves.
Once you've submitted the payment and given access for us to carry out the health check, we do not offer a refund.
However, if you are not able to send us across the Control Panel, FTP, and WordPress admin details, and we cannot carry out the work, we will offer a full refund.
